Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

We are committed to providing superior products whilst minimising any adverse impact to the environment. We recognise the importance of environmental protection and our duty to operate both responsibly and also in compliance with all legal requirements relating to the design, manufacture and distribution of office furniture. It is our priority to encourage our customers and suppliers to do the same, not only is this sound commercial sense, but we all have a duty of care towards future generations.

All MFC panels are procured from suppliers who are certified as using timber from sustainable sources. In addition, as members of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) we are committed to complying with the Policy for the Association of Organisations with FSC, FSC-POL-01-004 V2-0 EN, and FSC’s mission to promote the environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests. Our 600kW Biomass boiler not only supplies our factory with heating but reduces our reliance on fossil fuels whilst at the same time improving our wood waste recycling rate.

Our commitment to the environment is reflected in our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System accreditation and also our ISO 9001 Quality Management System accreditation of which environmental concerns forms a substantive part. As a company we strive to always be environmentally aware and aim to continually improve our environmental performance through:

  • Promoting the use of recyclable and renewable materials
  • Reducing and/or limiting the production of pollutants to water, land and air
  • Controlling noise emissions from operations

We have a legal and ethical obligation to ensure our purchasing practices and standards place a priority on safety. They should be environmentally sound, efficient and well managed on behalf of our businesses, employees and customers. We work with our suppliers to ensure that they understand and adhere to our practices and business standards.
